Associate Professor Farrelly will give a public talk at the Palmerston North Central Library on Tuesday 15 November. Trisia will speak about her involvement in the United Nations Environment Assembly since 2017, the resolution for a global plastics treaty, her role as technical advisor for Pacific Island countries and New Zealand’s potential role in negotiating a comprehensive and effective treaty. Trisia will also discuss recent work on plastic pollution as waste colonialism and the volume Plastic Legacies: Pollution, Persistence and Politics (2021).
