Pedagogies of Hope in Higher Education
Capturing visions of hopeful pedagogies
Free online symposium
9–20 November 2026 NZ 8–19 November 2026 US
Pedagogies of Hope in Higher Education is an online symposium bringing together educators, researchers and practitioners to explore what hope might mean and make possible in higher education in a time of ecological crisis, institutional pressure and wider social and political uncertainty.
What does hope look like in your work as an educator in higher education? In a time of ecological crisis, institutional pressure and uncertainty about the future, this symposium brings together educators, researchers and practitioners to explore the possibilities, tensions and limits of pedagogies of hope.
We invite you to join the symposium free of charge (thanks to Massey University). Attend our live keynote conversations and workshops, discover participant images and stories, and contribute to asynchronous discussions across six thematic streams. You do not need to submit an image to take part but you do need to register for each session (links provided in the programme).
