In 2016, PERC provided technical and financial support to Palmerston North environmental group, Carrying Our Future.
Carrying our Future is an environmental group committed to:
· helping people understand the problems and issues associated with single-use plastics
· exploring and promoting viable alternatives
· running programmes and initiatives
· supporting individuals, groups, schools, councils and businesses
· lobbying government
· celebrating and sharing success stories
In 2016, PERC supported Carrying Our Future by purchasing three new sewing machines for their weekly bag making workshops run by the group’s volunteers in the Palmerston North City Library Tech Space. The workshops run on Friday mornings at 10am, and all are welcome to attend.
